Here’s a collection of online games that we like made by various developers. Expect to find games that are any of the following: interesting, unique, amusing, relaxing, strange, atmospheric, engaging, unexpected, charming… fun. We’ll list whether the game is a flash or HTML 5 game. Many say that HTML 5 will take over from flash games soon but others say the performance still isn’t reliable enough. So you can make up your own mind here.
The Space Game is a great strategy game set in space. Build your base, mine asteroids and defend against alien attacks. The challenge is to manage your resources, power supplies and defences so that you don’t become too vulnerable when attacked.
Also the soundtrack adds some nice atmosphere with a subdued sci-fi tone which changes to a satisfying battle theme as enemy ships reach your base. The gameplay is a lot of fun and you may find yourself wishing there were more levels to play.
Kingdom Rush is a great tower defence game. No story here , just pure gameplay. If you like strategic action games this one will definitely have you playing through to the end. A word of warning, if you have work to do, don’t start playing this. Before you know it an hour or two will have flown by.
Aether is an interesting and engrossing game created by Edmund McMillen and Tyler Glaiel. Charming visuals and an atmospheric, dynamic soundtrack help to keep you engaged in this surreal puzzle platformer.
William and Sly 2 by Lucas Paakh is an engaging game with beautiful artwork and a peaceful atmosphere. Interestingly the game is all about exploration and collection. There is no combat of any kind which is refreshing to see in a platform game. Use the arrow keys or WASD to control. Best played with headphones.
Starlight is a relaxing game where you move the pointer until the stars are aligned. It’s a simple concept that’s well executed with nice 3D graphics that work well. You can also play with a timer if you prefer a challenge.
Shopping Street may have simple presentation but if you like strategy games it will have you playing all the way through.
The idea is to build stores and take as much money as possible from the passing people… and then upgrade your stores and take more money as more people pass by in each level. A terrible spiral of greed which knows no end. Apart from when it ends.
